It was a success-studded year for Prakash Raj and if you have question why? Our absolute answer would be Mozhi that swayed credits for his production Banner. And now, he is on the tracks of adding more credits to his venture. Yup! Duet Movies in collaboration with Mirchi Movies, Moser Baer and Pyramid Saimira are venturing themselves with 5 flicks this year.
Vellithirai – A replica of yesteryear Malayalam movie Udhayananu Tharam features Prithviraj, Prakash Raj, Lakshmi Rai and Gopika in lead roles. Audio for the film was launched recently during last month and G.V.Prakash scores music. Speaking to the occasion of movie’s audio launch, Prakash Raj said Vellithirai is a pure dedication for Tamil Cinema successfully completing 75 years. Indeed, as a token of expressing their gratitude for veteran technicians, they had musicians M.S.Viswanathan, P.Susheela and many others as their guest of celebrities….
Fine! Getting on with rest of the movies produced as a joint venture, its Abhiyum Naanum that features Prakash Raj, Trisha and Aishwarya in lead roles. Latest buzz is that Prithviraj plays cameo role in this flicks and that’s of something meaty, isn’t??? Radha Mohan directs the movie and its Vidhyasagar scoring music…
Mayilu – an exceptional in the row will take us to theme of nativity and the film has new faces donning lead roles. Ilayaraja scores music for the film and cinematographer Jeeva who canned shots for Thirutham turns director with this film.
Happy Days rocked in Tollywood and recently has been dubbed into Malayalam. Good themes are always welcomed by Duet Movies and they have remake rights for the movie. With hunt for new faces still going, it has been confirmed cinematographer M.S. Guhan directs the film.
Apart from this, another flick titled Solladhadhu Ellam Unmai has an unique theme with cast and crew still on the tracks of completion.
