A Sequel to Malayalam Flick - For the People
After the trend-setting highly successful Malayalam film For the People and the disastrously unsuccessful By the People, Jayaraj comes out with the third film in the series, Of the People.
The series, which has been focusing on how the new generation crusade against and injustice and corruption that is rampant in the society, especially by taking up arms against the perpetrators of injustice, has of course been instrumental in bringing in a whole lot of new talents to the Malayalam film industry – including Jassie Gift, actor Arun etc and had also gave a push to the acting careers of Gopika, Unni Sivapal etc. And now, with Of The People, it is heard that Jayaraj and team are attempting to discuss issues related to self-financing educational institutions. Of the People begins from where the earlier two films in the series ended. Three of the four crusaders of For the People, namely Aravind, Shafeeque and Iswarayyar, take it upon themselves to cleanse the system as best as they can.
The cast includes in key roles Arun, Padmakumar, Arjun, debutante Anjali, Harshan, Govind Sudheer etc. Of The People features script by Sreekumar Sreyas, cinematography by Tanu Balak, lyrics by Kaithapram, music by Vinu Thomas and art-direction by Pradeep Padmanabhan. Jayaraj himself produces the film under the banner of New Generation Cinema and For The People will hit the screens by mid November.
