The man who made Tamil cinema proud by winning its only national award for Screenplay writing for his outstanding work, Kathal Kottai is back with yet another offbeat love story set in the commercial cinema format. Writer, lyricist and director Agathiyan invited media persons to attend the filming of a song sequence he is shooting for Blue Water Movie Makers, Nenjathai Killadhae starring Vikranth and Bharathi in the lead. Vikramaditya, hero of the banner’s earlier venture, Thollaipesi makes a special appearance.
At the location on the sands of the Kovalam beach near Chennai, choreographer Ajayraj is teaching the steps to Vikranth and Bharathi dressed in pristine white, to the tune composed by Premji Amaran. Two scores of male and female dancers also decked up in white formed the background giving exact movements as the lead pair are asked to give by the dance director. Agathiyan watch the shoot on the monitor as cinematographer Shankar cans it. Agathiyan borrowed the title from a Mahendran film of the Eighties. . The film is now 70 per cent complete with shooting held Cochin, Thekkadi, Kodaikanal besides Chennai.
