An action film in the Backdrop of Kolkata
After an interval, Udhayabanu Maheshwaran, director of the hit Tamil gangster flick Naalai, has begun work on his second film called Chakra Viyugam, an action film set against the backdrop of Kolkata. For the first time, production house Sri Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, whose Bollywood films include Agni Pankh, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and Bhagam Bhag, is making its foray into Tamil films. Co-producing the film is Natraja Arts.
Natraj Subramaniam and Jayasuriya, the Malayalam hero, are the two male leads. Kannada actress Daisy Boppana plays the heroine. Cinematography is by Dwarakanath and Karthik Raja composes the music.
