MIRUGAM is being made under the banner JAI KARTIK MOVIES is produced by Kartik.
Sami who earlier directed the film UYYIER is directing this film. He is also in charge of story, screenplay and dialogues. The story takes place in a barren and dusty village. The story is about a character called Iyyanar who has a character of a outrageous monster and vicious. His parents, his wife try to change his character but he does not heed. He gets into grim quandary and whether this situation reforms him or not is the bottom story line of this movie.
Telugu actor Aadhi is in the role of Iyyanar and Padmapriya as is wife are in the lead role. There is a great scope for both of them to prove the mettle. Sona, Ganja Karrupu, Bhanuchandar have lived the characters as villagers. The movie is shot at Madurai, Kariyapatti, Kurandi, Arasakulam and the actors have been portrayed as the villagers of this place with their slang. Ramnath Shetty handles the camera and Sabesh Murali is in charge of the music.
