Bollywood Diwali releases rock in United States
Recently released Bollywood flick “Om Shanti Om,” has grossed a record $1.76 million in the three days after its Nov. 9 opening, placing it at number 11 on the Box office chart of Hollywood. Speaking about this grand opening, Ken Naz, head of Eros U.S.A., says that everyone expected this film would have a grand opening and that has become real. Also he added that the company has revised a gross amount of $1.5 million.
The other release for Diwali Saawariya also witnessed a grand opening. It did a respectable $542,192, opening on 85 screens and grossing $6,378 per screen.
But the collection for Saawariya has now been gradually decreased by the success of Om Shanthi Om.
