Santhome Cultural Communication Centre holds the best credits of revealing the talents of country side cultural arts and dance through ‘Chennai Sangamam’. It had been functioning through the name of ‘Tamizh Maiyam’ along with MP Kanimozhi. Now, the Cultural and Communication Centre has come up with the opportunity of hosting awards where talented versatile personalities will be felicitated. Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will be honored with Life Time Achievement Award. The other artistes would be Best Film for Mozhi, Thankar Bacchan as the best director for Sathyaraj starrer ‘Onbadhu Roobai Nottu’. Vairamuthu is awarded as the best lyricist for his spellbinding lyrics in Mozhi.
