Dasavatharam - Music Review
Long time indeed! Dasavatharam has been hitting the headlines of far-flung corners right from the day of movie launch. Well, the reason is so simple and that’s the stunning approach of Uzhaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan donning 10 different roles. Perhaps, the audio launch of movie was hosted in a grandeur manner with Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan appearing for the event along with other superstars of Indian Cinema Amitabh Bacchan, Mammooty and Vijay.
Himesh Reshamiyya indeed has lived up to the expectations by scoring stunning music each with different genres. Kollywood Today brings you the exclusive music review of Dasavatharam music album.
1. Uzhaga Nayaganae – The starting lines itself marks that it is all about Kamal Haasan, a stunning star who has been elevating the standard of Indian Cinema. Vairamuthu has penned lyrics for the song and Vinith has rendered his voice. Well, getting in detailed about the visual treat, you will have Director K.S.Ravi Kumar dancing along with 10 different Kamal Haasans and other casts in the film. Interesting isn’t?
2. Kallai Mattum Kandal – Spiritualistic chanting is all with the song begins followed by Hariharan’s voice. The music has been composed for the exact backdrop of 12th Century and the instrumentals are something awesome when compared to Hariharan’s voice.
3. Oh Oh.. Sanam – Kamal Haasan, a multi-faceted personality takes hold of the song by singing with his voice. The lyrics are so simple, but it is so meaningful that it gets into your minds for the very first time you are going to listen for it. Hats off to Vairamuthu for a wonderful work…
4. Mukunda – Mukunda – A different tune from the other ones in the album. Be whatever may be the style or situation, Sadhna Sargam’s voice remains the same without any modulation. And its your part to decide whether this is something positive or an adverse attribute. Anyways, the song is so soothing for your ears and makes you hum along with it. Kamal Haasan shares up the song presenting his voice for it.
5. Kaa… Karupanoom - Shalini Singh with her bold and unique voice steals it all your attention and dudes we are sure you are sure to loose yourselves for the missy who is gonna dance for it on the screen. Yup! The gorgeous hot Malikka Sherawat shakes her legs as a club dance and Vairamuthu has written the lines.
6. Oh..Oh Sanam - Fine and Cool! How would be an album when there is no remix and Himesh Reshamiyya rocking with his voice? This remix has Himesh Rehamiyya and Mahalakshmi Iyer singing together accompanied with the excellent combo of more instruments and heavy beats.
So, songs of Dasavatharam are rocking and so will be the film.. If you yearning out to listen to the finest tunes, grab your copies at the racks of your nearest audio stores.

its rocking well in my point of view, expecting the movie too,pls tell me when can we see d movie on screens.
i am a die-hard fan of Kalaighani, is DASA music really rocking Tamilnadu, somebody in d orkut community(who r all d fan of Kalaighani) says that d songs are at an average.
Dasavatharam audio is just average. It has been accepted because the movie has Kamal. Look at Bommalatam, a tharh album by himesh. Frankly speaking, I believe something is wrng with our Thala. They booked ARR and changed to Himesh. That is like choosing Kamal for a movie and choosing Simbu. Isn’t that crap. Same applies here. also i think songs should be songs and should not be edited to suit the movie. eg mukunda, it is a nice song but Kamals’ elderly voice irritates. Overall a very average album.
I hope Kamal makes peace with ARR and set him as the music dirctor for Marmayogi.
To all out there, if anyne knows Kamal personally, ask him to be smart and choose ARR for Marmayogi. A high class actor opting got low class music is unaccetable. Audio sales is just average. Once it released, people were excited. Now it has stopped.
Final say to Dasavatharm Team. The Audio has dissapointed alot of Kamal Fans. Why doesn’t our Thala hear our concerns? he makes movie and we support it. I think we need get this accross to our Thala.
I hope atleaset the movie does good.

first hear the interviews or read them in the net which kamal hassan gave about dasavatharam music and himesh he didnt even know who himesh was.it was the producers choice and he had no other go as rehman couldnt adjust his dates.read the articles in times of india or himesh’s blog.
Dasa team made a big mistake with choosing Himesh as the music director. The songs are very average.
ARR should have been the right person. The movie took 2 years to complete. I believe ARR would have composed 5 songs in the within that period.
Dasa has drawn it’s 1st blood and the verdict is DISASTER in the form of HImesh Reshamiya. Looks like there is only the movie to look forward now.
I hope KAMAL learns his lesson here and goes for ARR for Marmayogi and future projects.
He needs to understand that Movie is one thing and audio is another thing. Hinmesh could not save the audio and i have read feedback all over and the audio is a FLOP.
I really hope Kamal learns. All the BIG WIGS (Rajni, Mani, Shanker) alll choose ARR and the movies does get saved.
If anyone knows Kamal, please advise him. For an actor which such Kaliber and quality and fan support, he needs to be smart enough to choose the right music director. I heard that it was the producer who choosed HR, but come on KAMAL can overwrite a decisions.

Himesh music is crap. Dasa audio is really boring to listen. I am not sure how KS and Kamal can say in TV that they were impressed with himesh’s tune in Dasavatharam. Both of them must be joking. Enough is enough with trip crap. They can cover all they want, everywhere in the internet and blogs i can see the music has been torn apart, I can hestly say, that it is the truth. Both Kamal and KSR has blown it this time. For a High Cost movie, the music sucks BIG ways. The ideal person is for High cost movie is ARR. Only he can do such magic.

guys come on ARR is getting stale and monotonous. He is just god damn overrated and hyped. He too copies music big time. As far as Dasavatharm goes the songs suits the situations and is rocking all over.
Radio stations keep playing it over and over again.
com’on Govind! Do you think ARR is monotonous, he scored a recent number for a chinese movie, go to youtube and check that - he used a thambura in the backdrop of a chinese song…its so nice to hear - infact for most of indian’s thatz the first chinese song they hear.
Besides I see your point, why only ARR, when his all time partner Ilayaraja can do magic too… even Yuvan can give a huge hit, why not anyone do for KAMAL…
but this cheap Himesh knows nothing but to sing from nose and he ruined… I didn’t like most of his hindi songs also, but somehow they are all hit…. and if you hear 10 songs in row, you can’t tell a difference, but all feels & sounds same… like our S.A.Rajkumar - composing the same tune movie after movie…
