Director Ameer’s gesture to Mani Rathnam
Director Ameer winning accolades at Berlin Film Festival for the film Paruthiveeran was surprised after the awards ceremony. A jury from India in the film selection committee told Ameer that it was Mani Rathnam who recommended Paruthiveeran for the awards. Soon after hearing this, Director Ameer buzzed up Mani Rathnam and expressed his heartfelt thanks and Mani said it was his duty to promote films of excellent qualities…
Also Ameer was so discouraged to see none of the press media from Tamil Nadu or Government officials had accompanied him for the Berlin while other Nations did that. So he has requested the Tamil Nadu Government to take note on this and do the needful from next time…
