Engal Aasan fast on the tracks
Captain’s 150th film proved off to be a big hit and now with an attempt of choosing proper scripts, Vijayakanth has geared up with Engal Aasan. SV Thangaraj who has been ruling the distribution of Tamil films in Kerala will produce the film. Apart from this, he has taken a different dimension of crafting story, screenplay, dialogues and direction for the film.
The film is about Mahadevan (Vijayakanth), a bank manager soon after getting transferred to 20a rural branch, finds out the scam involved in the branch and that is being done by a big shot Marthandam played by newcomer Ramki. Amidst of great clash between these two, Marthandam sets fire to the bank and Mahadevan has no clue how to bring back the broken lives of village people who have lost all their savings in the bank. And now he settles down the score with the baddie forms crux of the story.
Debutant Sheryl Brenda plays female lead role while Vikranth performs a prominent character. Sabesh Murali has scored music for the lyrics of Muthulingam, Pa.Vijay and Snehan.
