Genelia in Jab We Met of Telugu version
Genelia D’souza has been signed the Telugu remake of Jab We Met, in which she plays the character ‘Geet’ essayed by Kareena in the original version. Time and again Genelia showed keen interest in Jab We Met. She had mentioned that her favourite movie happens to be the Shahid-Kareena starrer Jab We Met, and her dream role was that of Kareena in the film. The remake is being directed by Krishnavamsi and produced by Sunkara Madhu Murali.
In the Tamil version Tamanna will play the female lead of the film which is yet to be christened. Bharath would don the male lead and would team up with Tamanna for the first time. The Tamil version will be a big budgeted film. The Tamil and Telugu versions will roll out before the Kannada and Malayalam ones. It is a culturally neutral film but it is decided to rewrite the script a little to suit the respective sensibilities.
