Goa is not for Pongal
Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Goa’ started rolling in the early 2009 with a grand affair. The film was reported to be produced by Soundarya Rajnikanth in collaboration with Hollywood’s renowned production house Warner Bros. But regrettably, the producers of WB backed off from the project. Nonetheless, Soundarya Rajnikanth kept spreading the news that they are still into the project merely for the sake of business.
But now, it’s so clear that Warner Brothers aren’t part of this project and Soundarya is seemingly drenched in some financial constraints. According to the sources, buzzes are that she has sent away many staffs in Orcher Studios due to financial problems.
As Venkat Prabhu made a jocular statement that he will not release ‘Goa’ with ‘Paiyya’ and other Pongal releases during the audio launch of ‘Paiyya’, many media channels seem to have picked this one to be a fact.
But the reality is that there are still many sequences and songs to be canned and it may not hit screens Pongal.
