Gowtham Menon – An adorer of Hollywood films
Gowtham Menon being successful in Tamil Cinema seems to be a great adorer of Hollywood films. Most of his directorial films seems to have trace of Hollywood films. Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu was almost a partial remake of films like Silence of the Lambs and Bone Collector. Followed by this, he went to direct Pacchai Kili Mutthucharam, which was an exact remake of a Hollywood film Derailed.
Buzzes are that his next film Vaaranam Aayiram has some traces of Tom Hank’s yesteryear Forrest Gump where Tom according to time-period changes his get-up. He performs the role of student and then as Military officer. We have to watch and see what are the stuffs and ideas Gowtham is importing from Hollywood into Kollywood.
Seems like there is lack of creativity, isn’t????
