Hrithik Roshan and Anurag Basu to collaborate
For the year 2008 Rakesh Roshan will produce and not direct Hrithik Roshan’s next movie. As papa Rakesh has decided to take a long break from direction, son Hrithik will star in an Anurag Basu movie in a never before seen avatar.
“It’s an action thriller with a strong love story at its heart and will go on floors in July 2008. Anurag Basu, whom both I and Hrithik think very highly of, is directing the film for us,” discloses Rakesh Roshan, thereby putting an end to all the speculations about the seriousness of Hrithik’s knee injury.
“Hrithik’s knee injury got aggravated and gave way completely from all the stunts in his recent releases. Now the doctors said he had to take complete rest for two months or face the consequences. So he’ll soon leave for the Gold Coast for taking complete rest and better recovery,” informs Rakesh Roshan.
He also informed that on returning Hrithik will perform an intricate item number for his first non-Hrithik production Krazzy 4. An elaborate set will be put up for the song to be shot in March 2008. “However, let me warn Hrithik’s fans, if I feel his knee is not up to it, I won’t shoot the song,” emphasizes Rakesh Roshan.
