Illayaraja Composed 6 Tunes in 30 minutes
Chandranath, who worked as an assistant to P. Vasu for a long time, will now turn independent with a film titled Kangalum Kavi Padudhey. The film, which is touted to be a refreshing love story, borrows its title from the opening lines of a hit song from yesteryear. The film also marks the debut of six newcomers, namely, Akash, Rajith, Rathan Litika, Mridhula and Lakshana. Chandranath, says he was fortunate enough to get some great tunes from Ilayaraja. His association with him dates back to many years.
In fact, when he informed the maestro of his debut, he was so glad that he sat down immediately to listen to the story of his film. And in just 30 minutes, he came up with six mind-blowing tunes. Vishali Maniharan, a poetess and the daughter of the acclaimed lyricist late Kannadasan, has also penned a song for the film.
