Kuruvi sold for 2 Crores in Karnataka
Kuruvi starring Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha is selling like hot cakes. Kuruvi is based on a true story of a Kuruvi which means carrier of contraband goods or foreign currencies. Kuruvi is almost complete and is being released in the month of April. In this film Vijay is a carrier and takes the contraband to Trisha. What turns out between the duos is the crux of the movie. It has all the ingredients of a family entertainer. This film is being produced by Udayanidhi Stalin under the banner of Red Giant Movies and directed by Dharani, Kuruvi is an all-out action adventure laced with romance and family sentiment.
Dharani’s ground-breaking modus operandi of filming a spectacular act scene with a song as the milieu in “Madurai Veeran” in Dhool was much cherished by one and all. A sequence in a analogous pattern is said to be shot making use of the services of hundreds of dance artists, Stuntmen and atmosphere artists. Going by past record, this scene may a mark in every body’s mind. This film has been recently sold at a whooping price of Rs.2 crores for Karnataka area. ‘Mandya’ Srikanth, a Tamil film distributor who is very popular in exhibiting Tamil films in Karnataka, and also the owner of Nanda and Yuvasri theatres in Mandya, has purchased the distribution rights of “Kuruvi”.
