Legend’s felicitation for a legend
Legends are always happening amongst the masses for their extra-ordinary contribution to the society. Perhaps, if you need something in detail about legends in the field of Arts, they are someone who delight and enlighten people with their enchanting works.
Isai Gnani Ilayaraja runs a Literary Association where the works of eminent writers are recognized and felicitated. This time, it is writer Jayakanthan – a versatile personality in the field of literary art who is honored.
Indeed, a documentary featuring something interesting on his writing style and opinions of various critics was produced. The title carded for the documentary is ‘Ellaigalai Vistharitha Eluthu Kalaingan’, which means ‘An artist stretching his impact expanding boundaries through his writing’.
Ravi Subramaniam holds the credit of creating the concept and has handled the screenplay and direction for the film while Chezhian has canned the shots. It is well known that he has earlier handled cinematography for the film Kalloori. Isai Nyani Ilayaraja has scored background music while Manohar R.G.P. has handled editing.
The documentary was screened during the annual literary Prize Distribution of the Ilayaraja Literary Association. Former President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam presided over the function as chief guest and Director Bharathi Raja received the first copy of this documentary film. Also, lyricist Na. Muthukumar was felicitated under the category of ‘Best Young Writers’.
