Life Story of Rajinikanth
Dr. Gayathri Sreekanth an eye surgeon decided to write the life story of one of her favourite actors, Rajnikanth. Titled ‘The name is Rajnikanth’, this biographical sketch of the actor is in English and is being published by Om Books International. A family of doctors and at one point she really felt the need to do something totally different and decided to write a book, something she had been dreaming of doing. And she took the quirky interest rather seriously.
After meeting the actor’s wife, she went to Bangalore to meet the ’super star’s childhood friends. She met a whole lot of his friends and each of them had such interesting details about the actor. Later, she also met actors and others in the film industry to obtain more details about the actor. After one year’s running about and interviews, she put together his story. Director K. Balachander has penned the forward for the book, while actor Kamal Haasan has given a message. The book will be launched this March.
