Malaikkotai - Music Review

Malaikkotai - Music Review

Malaikkotai audio was recently launched and all the songs have come out well with varieties of tunes. Music Director Mani Sharma after tuning in melodies for hit films like Pokkiri and Arya has scored music for this film. Kollywood Today brings you the music review for this film.

1. Kanda Kadamba – This is the first number on the album and seems like it will be the title song in the film too. Such is the beginning lines in the song with a peppy tune that will be liked by youth group. Lyrics penned by Na. Muthu Kumar are rhythmic and is more suitable for an actor like Vishal and more expectations are about the dance from Vishal. Ranjith has moulds his voice with his unique mold.

2. Uyire Uyire – Unlike the first song, Mani Sharma has given more importance to lyrics and let the beats lie beneath it. Yuga Bharathy has penned lyrics for this song that appears to be a romantic number in the album. Ranjith has sung this song and melodious tune is sure to get you the feel of romance.

3. Oh Baby – Rahul Nambiar has rendered his voice and Mani Sharma has mixed the both local and western musical instruments for this song. The number seems to be weird with different approach.

4. Devathaye Va Va – The song is more melodious and it will carry along with the tune, such is the melody tuned in by Mani Sharma to the lines of Yuga Bharathy. Smoothly scoring the music, Vijay Jesudas with his bold and peculiar style has rendered his voice for this song. The song has lines of emotional elements that involves romance and warm heartedness.

5. Uyire Uyire – Tunes sets to be the same thing and the only song different over here is Rita joining in with Ranjith for giving a feel of duet. The melodies rendered by instruments are excellent and hats off to Rita for a good and note this that she is making her debut as a playback singer with this song.

6. Yeh Aatha - This is the ultimate remix of the old song Yeh Aattha penned by Gangai Amaran and this song is sure to steal the show for this would be the main highlight of the movie. The song has voices rendered by Tippu and Anuradha Sriram. It’s great on the part of Mani Sharma for he has blended folk tunes with western beats.

As a whole, all the songs from Malaikkotai are foot-tapping. If you have listened to the songs from this album. Mail your feedback and opinion about the songs to info@kollywoodtoday.com.
