Versifier Pa.Vijay debuts as hero in ‘Thaai Kaviyam’ to be produced by Kalaignar Vellithirai. The film was formally launched on Oct 21st in A.V.M Rajeswari theatre by chief minister Karunanidhi and the function was attended by luminaries of Kollywood like K.Bhagyaraj, Cheran, K.S.Ravikumar, producer R.B.Chaudhary and Khushboo.
The film is based on a novel written by Karunanidhi with the same name drawing inspiration from Maxim Gorkey’s ‘Mother’. ‘Thaai Kaviyam’ has Khushboo playing mother to Pa.Vijay. Initially Radhika was approached for the role but later on Khushboo was finalized. The highlight of the film is said to be an eight minute non-stop dialogue which will be spoken by the hero. As per the crew, this incessant speech of Pa.Vijay would definitely earn him accolades. It was also reported that a distributor has come forward and booked the film for 50 lakhs for Trichy, Tanjore area.
