Producer A.M. Karthikeyan and his Karthikjai Movies (P) Ltd. unit held a press conference to release the trailer of Mirugam (Beast) directed by Samy at Priyadarshan’s Four Frames preview theatre, Chennai. Former Director of CBI, Mr. D. Karthikeyan released the trailer that gave a glimpse of the film’s genre, stark realism. Padmapriya played the female lead while newcomer Adi is cast as the rugged hero. A couple of songs composed by music directors Sabesh-Murali were also screened. Murali said it is a challenging task composing music for such an offbeat film. Adi, son of veteran Telugu director Raviraja Pinisetty felt that the film would open doors for him in Tamil cinema.
Producer Karthikeyan said in lighter vein that even before the release of the film, its director Samy and heroine Padmapriya have become popular, “once the film is released Adi too would be noticed for his good performance.” Earlier Mr. D. Karthikeyan and popular distributor Tirupur Subramanian, heroines Sangeetha and Vimala Raman spoke wishing the team a grand success.
