Moser Baer Laments

Moser Baer that has pushed the envelope on economical DVDs is melancholic the fact that the Tamil film industry does not allow movies to be brought into DVD format until three years after their release.

Chief Operating Officer, Entertainment Business, said the Malayalam and Hindi film industries allowed movies to be put in DVD format in less than a year after their release. But it was very difficult to obtain permission to bring out Tamil movies because of the restrictions the industry placed.
