Negative Titles in Kollywood
It looks like films with negative titles are slowly becoming a rage in Kollywood. Following Pokkiri, Polladhavan and Kettavan, a film titled Theeyavan (Bad Man) was recently launched.
This film features newcomer Sri Ranjan in the lead and he is paired opposite Mithuna. Kadhir, who has several ad films to his credit. Says Kadhir, “The hero has a dubious side to him, but all his actions and behavior are justified in the course of the film.” He adds, “Also negative titles catch attention much faster.”
Ace musician L. Vaidhyanathan’s son L.V. Ganesh makes his debut as a music director with Theeyavan. One of the highlights of this film is the opening song with the lyrics Eathikkitta Bodhai Varum, which has been sung by Simbhu.
