Director Perarasu is known for his commercial entertainers. His earlier films including Thirupachi, Sivakasi and Thirupathy were action based. Perarasu’s forthcoming release Pazhani starring Bharath is no poles apart. He is sanguine about Pazhani which, he feels, would go on to become a big hit. According to him, the movie would be a landmark in the careers of Bharath and his. Perarasu says like his earlier movies, Pazhani will also be a commercial entertainer laced with sentiments. The story revolves around a brother - sister relationship, which is narrated in a humorous way. The movie features Kajal Agarwal opposite Bharath with Kushboo and P Vasu also in the cast.

Perarasu has penned all the songs, while Srikanth Deva scores the music and Sekar Joseph is cinematographer. Pazhani produced by director Sakthi Chidambaram is nearing completion. Perarasu appears in a couple of scenes. Meanwhile, the director is flooded with offers from Tollywood. After completing Pazhani, he would venture to do a Telugu movie.
