“It’s time to rejoice, not because of film’s success, but it’s a victory for Periyar, a rational thinker who spent all his life in elevating downtrodden sections of the society” said Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on the occasion of 100th day celebration of Periyar.
CM gifted a ring worn by Periyar all throughout his life to Sathyaraj and stated this is a remarkable moment in the history of mankind. Kushboo was also a part of this event and said that it was quite a tough task to suit the characterization of Maniyammai, Periyar’s second wife.
Also chief minister M. Karunanidhi ceremoniously opened a building in the name of Sathyaraj at DK Headquarters.
