The super star is well known for his simplicity and for his divineness. Apart from this Rajnikanth is also known for avoiding film functions like the opening ceremonies, audio releases of even 100-day celebrations. Rajnikanth recently mentioned that the problem is that everybody in the industry is close to him and if he accepts an invite (to preside or be a chief guest) from one of them, he cannot refuse the others. As Rajni does not want to hurt anybody, he generally avoids any functions.
Again from the simplicity angle, Rajni still wears an ordinary watch which will be around Rs.200. His mobile is a simple Nokia which costs Rs.1500 only. He uses an old Ambassador car for his frequent rides. He is fond of street food and occasionally savors it sitting in his car. His driver usually fetches the food.
