STPL’s main line of work is Film Production and Distribution along with production and co-production of films and acquisition of movie rights for overseas and Indian distribution.
This Bollywood company has produced film such as ‘CHAMPION’ with Sunny Deol and Manisha Koirala, ‘SUPARI’ with Uday Chopra and Nandita Das and soon to be released Hindi feature film ‘KAABHI BHI KAHIN BHI’ staring Dino Morea and Dia Mirza. This production is foraying into Kollywood by joining hands with Gemini Films who produced super duper hit Vasool Raja MBBS. This joint venture is titled as Thiru POODAA Thirumathi POODI. Simbhu will be doing the lead role.
The leading lady and the crew will be shortlisted within a couple of days. The film being directed by debutant Mr. Vignesh Shivaa and music by Mr. Dharan will be a 2009 Feb 14 Valentine’s Day release. The film shoot commences on the 15th of August and is to be shot for over a period of 60 days in a single schedule in Toronto, Canada.
