The advent of corporates like Pyramid Saimira, Moser Baer, Ayangaran, Adlabs, Insight Media who have started producing and distributing films have brought drastic changes in Tamil Film Industry. The entry of the corporate in the film making as made the actors to hike the salary. Actors like Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, and Surya have already being in crores as salary. Actors who have been receiving in Lakhs have hiked the salary to crores.
According to unconfirmed sources, Dhanush who was receiving Rupees Two and half crores has started demanding Rupees Three crores after Thiruvilayadal Arambam and Yaaradi Nee Mohini became box office hits. Silambarasan salary is now Two and half crores plus Chennai city distribution rights. Jeeva who was earlier receiving Rupees Fifty five lakhs is now demanding One Crore. Jayam Ravi has hiked is salary from Rupees Seventy Five Lakhs to One Crore rupees. Bharath who was paid Rupees Fifty five lakhs has received Rupees Seventy Five Lakhs for Hari’s Seval. Anticipating the hit of the Seval he has demanded Rupees One Crore and Twenty five lakhs for his next venture. Sunder C citing his commercial victory has enhanced his salary from Rupees Forty lakhs to One and half crores. Narain who was being paid Rupees Thirty lakhs has increased his pay to One and half Crore after the hit of Anjathey.
Jeevan pointing out his commercial success has hiked his recompense from seventy five lakhs to one Crore. Director Cheran was paid Rupees Seventy five lakhs for acting in Pirivom Sandipoam. Now his demand is One and half crores for acting alone. Vinay who was paid rupees Three Lakhs for the film Unnale Unnale is being paid Rupees Nine Lakhs.
Prithviraj who was paid Rupees Five Lakhs for Mozhi has pushed up his figures Rupees Seventy Five Lakhs. The actresses have also decided to boost their salary. This has created chaos and flutters in the Tamil Film Industry. They are all in a fit of rage and shock.
