Tibetan Film Festival in Chennai
For those who are vexed watching Bollywood and Kollywood films in Chennai, here comes a different treat. Yup! Alliance Francaise of Chennai in collaboration with University of Madras and The Tibetan Students Association, Arangam Trust and Muruga Chettiar Trust are organizing a grand fiesta of Tibetan Cultural festival. Both fiction and documentary genre of films that centers on the Tibetan Culture will be screened. Of course, films like Seven Years in Tibet and Martin Scorsese’s Kundun, the noteworthy films in the history of World Cinema will be screened as a part of this festival.
The schedule of the film is scheduled as follows:
Himalaya on July 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.; Buddhism on July 5, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.; Seven Years in Tibet on July 5, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.; Kundun on July 6, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
