TOP 5 FILMS - This Week
.1. “Sivaji - The Boss” - Director: Shankar.
Rajnikant at 58 is still the unconquered king of Tamil cinema.
2. “Arya” - Director: Balasekhar.
This Madhavan-Bhavana starrer is a typical ‘masala’ entertainer. The question is whether it really entertains them! Prakash Raj is tremendous in the film, as usual.
3. “Kireedam” - Director: Vijay.
The film had a rebirth with a new end but the change has not made any meaningful divergence. Though it is a hit, collections are now beginning to dip.
4. “Veerappu” - Director: Badri.
This remake of a Mohanlal hit has ended wonders for director Sundar C’s career and he has now decided to focus on acting.
5. “Pallikoodam” - Director: Thankar Bachan.
Though not as good as Bachan’s last film “Azhagi”, “Pallikoodam” is different from the usual Tamil films.
