Vadivelu Banks on Azhagappan
VADIVELU was all in praise for the wig man Murugan and the make-up artiste Babu, who, according to him made it humanly possible for him to don the Eman character in the February 1 release Indralogathil Naa Azhagappan. In what could be said as a thanks-giving evening, Vadivelu thanked the producer, the media and the audience and apologized for the delay of two weeks from the scheduled Pongal release.
In a serious note, Vadivelu wondered if he had invested all that he had in this film. “Like any actor, I always keep something reserve for the next project. But this film is different,” Vadivelu said. Appreciating the work of director Thambi Ramaiah he said, “He is a silent performer who could be compared with the yesteryear dignitaries like K S Gopalakrishnan and P Madhavan.” He also said everyone has something to look forward to in this film. “Can you call this face a hero? The technical marvel will make you wonder whether it was the same man,” he quipped. As of now, Vadivelu is counting on all the good luck messages. Friday through Sunday should provide all the answers.
