Young director appreciated by Kamal Haasan
There are very few directors who get the appraisals from Kamal Haasan. Following the great directors like Sasi Kumar and Venkat Prabhu, here goes Rajesh Lingam making debut directorial with ‘Pugaipadam’. The Director seems to be much excited about Kamal Haasan’s encouragement and says, “Prof. K Gnanasambhandham performs a prominent role in the film and he is a close friend of Kamal Haasan. Soon after informing the title as well the script of the film, Kamal sir was more excited about it. He called me immediately and congratulated me to do well with the film”.
Both Director Rajesh and producer of this film are close friends ever since from their college days. Shooting for the film has been almost completed and would soon hit the screens. Speaking about the title, Director says that photographs are something that keeps in remembrance of our friends and of course, the film is something about remembering the cherished memories of college days and thus it has been entitled as ‘Pugaipadam’…
