Director Padma Magan’s dream project Ammuvagiya Naan schedule to release by June end, this film was produced by Sekar and directed by PadmaMagan. In the star cast veteran actor Partiban featuring in the lead role, in opposite new face Bharathi acted in the female lead. In the musical part Sabesh-Murali scored music for this film and cameraman M S Prabhu cranked the camera.
The film is set tuned by director Padma Magan, who is working for prolong period to complete the project Ammuvagiya Naan it is really a typical love story but carrying social message says director. After Azhagi, Partiban again enacted a different role of writer in this film and he again came out flying colors in Ammuvagiya Naan. The story revolves around between a writer (partiban) and a prostitute (Bharathi), and love affaire with social connotations was the crux of the story.
In fact in the female lead no leading actors from Tamil Nadu dare to don this role, because of typical prostitute character. Director and the team is searching for a heroine for long time, at last they land up with Bharathi a Keralite face for this film.
Director and Partiban had worked together in completing the film. Partiban, hero of this film seems more confident about the outcome of the movie and he assured the film would have a deep impact on the society, says Partiban.
Director Padma Magan had created a deadly script, which is likely to hamper cine society, the trailer of this film has created lot of speculation in the Kollywood, even more director had completed the film within Tamil Nadu boundary itself, even the song sequence was captured between Pondicherry, Chennai and Sengikottai.
And the most interesting part of this film was, director called real life prostitute to act in this script along with the lead actors, this was remarkable move by director to catch the real attitude of the Red light area apart from this it will create an kind of awareness among the public.
Apart from the film, Ammuvagiya Naan will be social empowerment drama.
