Late Director Jeeva had held the credits of making films with different storylines like 12B, Ullam Ketkume and Unnale Unnale. His last venture is Dhaam Dhoom a gripping action thriller featuring Jayam Ravi, Lakshmi Rai and Kangna Raut in lead roles. The film is about a house surgeon played by Jayam Ravi who heads for a five day trip to Russia for Medical conference. Over there, he has to get trapped by unexpected trouble that makes him run for his life.
Well versed in Tamil and English, he has no use of these languages as Russia is a land where English never enters. Troubled with problematic situation, he has Lakshmi Rai to come for his rescue who is a practicing lawyer in Russia. Usually, in many of Tamil flicks we have seen songs being shot at foreign locations, but that’s completely different in Dhaam Dhoom. Reason over is that with the entire film shot in Russia, songs have been filmed at different locations in India. Apart from Moscow, other portions of the film have been canned at Pollachi, Hyderabad, Coorg, Thenkasi and Nellai.
Kangna Raut performs female leading role with the character of an active village girl reading who is a diehard fan of Sidney Sheldon novels. Screenplay has been designed entirely different that will let audiences to move to edge of their seats. Cinematography by Jeeva has been done in super 35 mm format. S. Ramakrishnan has written dialogues in the film. Harris Jayaraj scores music for the lyrical lines written by Pa. Vijay and Na. Muthukumar. VT Vijayan is the editor while Raju Sundaram and Rekha Chinni Prakash have choreographed songs.
Kanal Kannan has directed stunts for the entire film along with Greece Anderson and Thyagarajan… The film was slated to release for Pongal but due to some problems couldn’t make it up and will soon see the lights of tunnel… As Director Jeeva breathed his last, his wife Aneez is wielding megaphone to complete the film and PC Sriram will take care of camera works…
