Kick starting her career as a director with the film Kanda Naal Mudhal, Director Priya has come up with another movie different that will different from her previous one. The film is produced as a joint venture of Raadan Networks and UTV Corporation. Priya as known earlier worked as assistant director to Mani Rathnam for many films like Iruvar, Alaipayuthey, Yuva and Aayutha Ezhuthu. Her directorial Kannamoochi Yenada will have great star casts like Prithviraj, Sathyaraj, Radhika, Sandhya and Sri Priya. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music for this film. Speaking about the film, Director Priya says that it will be entirely different from her previous flick. Senior actors like Sathyaraj, Radhika and Sarath Kumar remained as main support for her. All these stars created a jovial ambience on the sets throughout the shooting.
Vivek Oberoi who was a part of the audio launch function of Kannamoochi Yenada said that Priya has loads of talents within in her and that was more
evident as he was working with her for the film Yuva. Radhika too came with same comments. Radhika added that this would be a great fiesta of entertainment for Diwali. She is sure that amidst of great films releasing for this Diwali, this flick will surely do well with different tracks. All the songs have come out well and it would be nicer when viewed on the screen. Also sources state that chemistry between Sathyaraj and Prithviraj has worked
out well and its quite bewitching.
After the release of this film, Raadan Television Network together with UTV Motion Network would produce another three films: first one would remake of 7G Rainbow Colony in Hindi starring Vivek Oberoi, other two projects would be each directed by K.S.Ravi Kumar and Gowtham Menon with Sarath Kumar on the lead role. When asked whether she would set trend in Tamil films, she smiled saying that’s not her objective right now. All that she now aims for is making good films that elevate the standard of Tamil Cinema.
