Followed by the consequent success of Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondaen and Thiruvilaiyadal, RK Productions continues its venture on production line with Yaaradi Nee Mohini. This flick is a remake of Selvaraghavan’s Telugu movie Adavari Mattulakku Arthale Vaeru that had Venkatesh, Trisha Krishnan and Srikanth in lead roles. The film happened to be one of the great blockbusters of the last year and now expectations are same with the remake version. The film has Dhanush, Nayanthara and Kanda Naal Mudhal fame Karthik in the lead roles and is directed by R Jawahar who worked with Selvaraghavan as assistant director.
Well, Selvaraghavan takes care of story, screenplay and dialogues for this film and this is the 4th time brother duo combos Selva-Dhanush are collaborating. Nayanthara glued with the success of Billa is looking more energetic shooting for this film and the most sensational buzz in the sets is that both seems to have shared good rapport. Also Jawahar has stated that on-screen chemistry between Dhanush and Nayanthara has come out well. K. Dhanush plays the role of Vasu working as a trainee in a software consultancy and Raghuvaran plays his father role. Nayanthara plays the role of Keerthi, a team leader in the same office where Vasu works as a trainee. Karthik after the success of Kanda Naal Mudhal and Vaanam Vasapadum performs supporting role in this film. Majority portion of the film has been shot in Chennai and few songs in foreign locations. In recent times, this will be the only film shot in various foreign locations.
Siddarth who earlier has canned shots for films like Naladamayandhi and Mumbai Express will be handling camera works for the film while Kola Bhaskar takes care of editing. With most of the lyrics penned by Na. Muthukumar, Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring music. Kalyan and Dinesh have choreographed for the songs while Selva is the stunt director. The film is slated to release on the occasion of February 14 for the occasion of Valentines’ Day.
