Review - Aayudham Seivoam
Starring: Sundar C, Anjali, Vivek, Napoleon, Nasser, Vijayakumar and many others
Banner: Pyramid Saimira
Direction: Udhayan
Music: Sri Kanth Deva
On the lines of Laghe Raho Munnabhai here comes a flick that has a splendid message presented with lots of fun, frolicked action and lots of masala stuffs. Director Udhayan has well planned and executed the script and screenplay. Director Sundar seems to be an expert opting the characters he plays in all his films. As in all his previous movies, he plays the role of a ruffian, but the similarities end up here.
Few may rate this movie as an average one; we are there to obstruct these views as it has lots of energy in spreading message for the masses. Let’s not keep us too dragging with the attributes. Take a glimpse through the synopsis and then have sneak look on detailed analysis of Aayudham Seivoam.
Sundar C as mentioned here stands on the shoes a ruffian who bumps off the victims and that reveals of his profession. Polishing off his targets aren’t something a tough one for this man and one day he undergoes an encounter that lays him into a different situation, turning his course of life.
Well, getting in detailed about this incident: Sundar C is hired to steal a set of documents that happens to be the only witness for good old lawyer played by Vijayakumar. Those documents are nothing but a source evidence for the death of IAS officer Suganya and her family. Accidentally, Sundar C has to showcase his cruel deed of killing this old lawyer and before lasting his breath, he conveys his good wish that Sundar C may lead a long life.
His words precisely prick into the consciousness of Sundar C and go brainsick out of this. Meanwhile, in terms of another case, court comes up with a different judgment of ordering him to take up social services at a Gandhi Museum. Nasser is the elderly person there out who is carrying on with social service works and there group of youngsters working under him. Sundar C gets in hand with working for good causes and in order to draw in more crowds to the museum, he along with his sidekick Vivek hosts competitions where winners would have a chance to shake hands with actress Malavika.
Sundar C the strategy of pushing the baddies responsible for the death of Suganya and her family into the light by means of violence. Perhaps, things turn different as Sundar C glimpses through the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, a man indeed who can be considered as an embodiment of ahimsa.
Vivek with his rib-trickling comedy tracks that enhances the film’s pace, especially at the points where the screenplay goes bit dragging and make you feel bored. Napoleon, Nasser and Vijayakumar have donned splendid performance with their roles. Actress Anjali looks entirely different in her performance as well in characterization with that of her debut flick Kattradhu Tamizh. Her modern outfits and bubbly youthful looks is a great delight for youngsters.
Hats off to Srikanth Deva for he keeps the same tempo of annoying music as in his previous flicks. Probably, what he can do is take up couple of projects at a time and not more than that. No appreciations for the technical group for it are a usual moderate effort from them.
And if you wanna know about the negative traits, there is nothing more over here. In simple, screenplay filled with lots of absurdities does make us lose interest. But Sundar C’s performance, Vivek’s comedy and a good message blended together wins laurels for the film.
Bottom - Line: Gandhi’s way with Masala
Verdict: Worth watching to kill your time…
