Karan’s typical Madurai slang movie Karupasamy Kuthagatharar running successfully. The time director chooses to release the film itself shows the director’s confidence over the film, because many films feared to release because of Sivaji arrival. But director and producer able to secure a decent hit in the short span of time.

Karan’s body language, new heroine Meenakshi and Vadivelu’s comedy was the major plus for this small budget film. The movie is based on Madurai doing well in Kollywood it may because of Lord Meenakshi presence it seems.

Coming to story front, the film starts in Madurai and moves around the city, Karupasamy (Karan) obviously a hard worker running a cycle stand contractor in the hot of the city. And Karupasamy was assisted with array friends in doing business, at the same time Karupasamy engaged with mimicry cum dance troupe, which will organize evening shows in different part of Madurai. In addition he used to imitate Rajni style to attract the audience, so he was famous by the name Xerox.

Raasathi as a dream to become Doctor but her family is not willing to do so, at the same time Raasathi’s parents were dead against the affaire and forced Raasathi to marriage.

In order to fulfill Raasathi ambition Karupasamy taking a deep turn in his life. In climax, whether Karen reunited with Meenakshi and here ambition to become doctor is fulfilled or not was end of the climax.

In Kokki Karen seems in the tough character; in this film Karen enacted youthful and caring actor. New face Meenakshi basically from Bengali able to cope up with Typical Madurai culture, her young charming face looks similar to typical to Madurai girl. Apart from this debutant director Moorthy able to complete the film at the right time, in the musical part music director Dheena scored a decent background music.

In the concluding remark, Karen reentered Tamil cinema by giving entertainer movie Karupasamy Kuthagathara, in Deep South this movie is expected to receive good response.
