Review - Saadhu Miranda

Banner: ALKA Films
Direction: Siddhique
Star-casts: Prasanna, Abbas, Kavya Madhavan, Charlie, Karunaas, Viyapuri and many others
Music: Deepak Dev

Siddique seems to be more touched by his nativity and fails to realize that wont suit to the taste of Tamil audiences. Well, none can object or deny that his maiden directorial Friends was of a good presentation, but he has to get it clear that audiences aren’t ready to accept when the same things are presented again and again. As of story, screenplay and direction, Siddique does a stupendous job with these aspects. His ability to carry film with a stunning suspenseful screenplay that makes the audiences not to get their attention diverted…. But I am sure if you are gonna answer your mobile between the movie, you will surely get confused of what had happened at that point…

Let us see what this movie is all about. Before starting off with the synopsis, let me frankly tell us this flick isn’t something different for it has been already seen in much of previous Tamil films. But the screenplay takes its all the film to the enhanced level of perfectionism…

The film opens with a tragedy of two bank burglars piercing bullets into an innocent girl. That’s just a prologue and we find Siva Sundaram (Prasanna) getting introduced on the screen. Depicted as an innocent guy, he makes his way towards a local gunda Davidraj (Manoj K Vijayan) for purchasing some narcotic drugs saying that Moorthy had asked him to get it. But soon he hops towards Minister Venkata Sabapathy (Kota Srinivasan) asking for Rs. 5 Crore that Moorthy asked him to do so. Priya (Kavya Madhavan) is a TV Anchor who gets to know about Siva Sundaram’s background that he is the brother of Ram Mohan (Abbas) her brother. But soon things take a great twist as Ram Mohan arrives in the city and sees his brother committing suicide…..

The rest of the story takes you all for fleet of suspense but not an expected thriller indeed…

Speaking about the direction, as mentioned earlier Siddique does a great job in shaping a good flick that has the genre of family entertainer with thriller, suspense, romance and comedy. Again taking up the same point again, Siddique has delivered the film with the taste of Malayalam audiences. Few comedy tracks doesn’t make you feel that they are rib-trickling and sometimes they make you get annoyed…

Prasanna does a moderate effort and please take a note that he doesn’t get suited with Kavya Madhavan for she looks quite matured than him… Kavya does a beautiful job and proves that stylish looks doesn’t mean that one has to wear miniskirts and roam around…

Nice to see Abbas in a different role and hats off to him for boldly choosing a different role for he looks cool with what he has done and Siddique does a wonderful job in shaping his character…

Speaking about the technical aspects, nothing is special to be mentioned here and director should have concentrated a bit on this…

As a whole, Saadhu Miranda will do well in the theatres for there aren’t any other movies to compete with…

Bottom Line : Nothing is clear

Verdict : Movie that can be watched with no intention…
