Like is previous movie, Sabari also come to eliminate the odd people from this society? For captain, societal approach and Violence is the two favorite ingredients for his film, in fact in Sabari as a Doctor, Captain Vijakanth operates most of the operation in axe rather than operating knife is an unbelievable truth, but we have to accept because this is cinema.
And to support Vijaykanth;s mistakes in the screen two top most glamour girls Malavika and Jyothirmyi has been imported and there role was minimized to feature in dance sequences with captain, and rest of the movie revolves around Vijayakanth with massive buildup of violence.
As cardiologist Doctor, Sabarivasan (Vijaykanth) working in Chennai Government hospital, and he successfully operates open-heart surgery for all peoples. Nandini (Jyothirmyi) have a high regard for Dr. Sabarivasan with some love making scenes makes things happen.
Besides, Sabrivasan enter in to direct conflict with local rowdies, when Sabari try to help police to find the culprits for murdering an innocent civilian in Middle of the road. So the Vajravelu (Pradeep Rawat), get angry and he kills Sabari’s father. Then Sabari remove his Doctor Court and getting into rowdy getup to finish off the Opponents Vajravelu. As we know Sabari taking oath to finish the Social evil from this society and safeguards the people.
In every film Captain will take a different character to explain his political thought. In this way, in Sabari he enacted the role of Doctor and doing the Police job. Through out the film Captain wears Doctor outfits but not even a single Medical terminology is spoken in this film. More Political Dialogues and aggressive speeches make the film boring. But Film lovers can’t have a comfortable seating in watching the film Sabari.
This film was directed by Suresh, who wrote a special script for Captain?, and produced by Salem Chandrasekaran, and music director Mani Sharma set tunes which makes the film more uncomfortable and Dialogues which place a major role in Captain Movies was penned by Pattukkotai Prabhakaran. At last this film is being liable to be taken as a highlight on heroic act of Captain Vijayakanth, which has nothing to do with commercial entertainment.
Verdict : Below Average
